環境モデル都市(※)である熊本県水俣市で、環境省の「環境保全型の地域づくりの推進支援事業」として、弊社の電動自転車無人コミュニティサイクルシステムF-rents（フレンツ）を利用した自転車市民共同利用システム事業が開始されます。
市内３ヶ所に自転車共同利用の拠点を整備することで、マイカーからバスと自転車を組み合わせた移動手段への転換を図り、水俣市が取り組んでいる自転車を利用したまちづくりを一層推進するとともに、二酸化炭素削減を図っていく取り組みです。
※環境モデル都市…日本政府により選定されている、低炭素社会の実現に向けて温室効果ガス(CO2)削減などへの取り組みを行うモデル都市。
